July 4th weekend in East Texas is going to be a lot more festive this year.
In addition to the traditional activities throughout the area, the East Texas Pump Jacks will be home from Thursday, July 3, through Sunday, July 6, as well as a pair of games next Tuesday and Wednesday. This means that for the first time in more than fifty years, Independence Day festivities and a good old-fashioned baseball game will be right here at Driller Park.
Promotions and activities for the weekend include:
Thursday is Thirsty Thursday – The weekend kicks off with Thirsty Thursday tonight, featuring discounted soft drinks and, for the first time this season, beer as well. All small fountain soft drinks will cost just 50 cents, and draft beers will be sold for just one dollar. That’s right, discounted drinks all night long! This traditional baseball promotion will kick off our Independence Weekend celebration, so come out to Driller Park and enjoy!
Free T-shirts on the Fourth – Although fireworks might be the norm for Independence Day, the Pump Jacks will save the display for Saturday and instead host a special giveaway on July 4th. The Jacks will be giving away FREE T-shirts featuring the team’s colorful inaugural season logo on the front to the first 500 fans through the gates on Friday night. The T-shirts are courtesy of Benchmark Events & Promotions, a proud partner of the Pump Jacks celebrating our inaugural season in East Texas. These shirts are free, but you have to be among the first 500 fans to get one, so don’t be late. Game time is 7:05 pm, but the gates open at 6 pm, and that’s when the team will begin giving away shirts.
Independence Weekend Fireworks on Saturday – While everyone else is busy with fireworks on the Fourth of July, the Pump Jacks have saved a special display for Saturday, July 5. Go see the other shows before ours, then come to Driller Park on Saturday night to see a show that drew rave reviews from fans earlier in the season. And for the holiday, this will be a bigger and better show! The fireworks will also feature a soundtrack specially composed for the occasion. The fireworks will follow the game, so join us for an evening of baseball, entertainment, and an explosive good time!
Sunday is Family Night – Budgets are tighter than ever for families nowadays, and the Pump Jacks have developed a promotion to ease the strain. Every Sunday home game is now a Family Night, with a family four-pack of grandstand tickets priced at $12 – that’s up to 40% off the normal price. Plus, if you want to eat at the ballpark, you can get the meal package for your party of four, featuring a hot dog, drink, and chips, as well as your tickets to the game, for just $25. That’s four tickets for $12, or four tickets and four meals for just $25. This is the most affordable dinner and a show you’ll likely find in East Texas!
The promotions don’t end this weekend, either. Come Tuesday night, Pump Jacks fans can enjoy Two Dollar Tuesdays, when the Pump Jacks will offer discounts on select meals, food, and drinks, discounting each one to just two dollars. And on Wednesday, show your colors for Pump Jacks Pride Wednesdays. Fans that wear their Pump Jacks gear on Wednesday nights will receive half-price grandstand tickets for the game. Wear a shirt, bring your cap, or even make your own gear to prove you’re part of Pump Jacks Nation, and you’ll get in for half price at the gate.
Tickets for the Independence Weekend celebration and the remainder of the Jacks’ inaugural season schedule are on sale now. Fans may purchase tickets at the Pump Jacks office at 1100 Stone Road, Suite 120, in Kilgore, or over the phone at (903) 218-GO ET. Tickets may also be purchased online – and printed at home on any home printer – by visiting www.pumpjacksbaseball.com.
Single-game tickets start at $5 each – or $4 for children and seniors – for grandstand general admission tickets. Upper Box seats are $8 each, and Lower Box seats, which feature in-your-seat wait service, are only $10 per ticket.
