The Pump Jacks’ new doubleheader on Saturday will feature a bevy of prizes for the outdoorsman, including a $500 gift certificate to Plano Marine
The East Texas Pump Jacks are taking to the outdoors on Saturday.
The Jacks will square off against the Coppell Copperheads in a doubleheader that will feature thousands of dollars in prizes for fishing fanatics.
The event, dubbed Fisherman’s Paradise presented by Plano Marine, features a pair of grand prizes that will certainly appeal to the fisherman in all of us. The top prize is a $500 gift certificate from Plano Marine, which can be used toward any boat or merchandise in the store. Plano Marine carries fishing boats, ski boats, pleasure boats and sport cruisers – including Skeeter and G3 Boats – as well as parts and accessories.
Fans will also have the chance to win a guided fishing tour at Lake Fork. The tour, hosted by Gary Johnson, will take the winner and a guest on one of the top trophy bass lakes in the United States. In fact, many of the largest bass caught in the state of Texas have been caught on Lake Fork. Johnson will provide all gear and tackle, so the winner need only show up, catch fish and have fun!
Plano Marine has also provided five Kistler fishing roads, each valued at more than $150.
Fans can enter a free drawing for a chance to win the gift certificate, fishing tour or fishing rods. Finalists will compete on the field between games to win one of the grand prizes.
The Pump Jacks will also be giving away hundreds of T-shirts and hats from Skeeter and G3 Boats. Hats and T-shirts will be given away to lucky fans as they enter the ballpark.
Saturday’s doubleheader at historic Driller Park will begin at 6:05 p.m., with gates opening at 5:00 p.m. Per league rules, both games will be seven innings. The second game will begin about 30 minutes after the conclusion of the first.
The doubleheader features the Pump Jacks, in first place in the TCL and one of the top teams in the country, against the league’s #2 team. The Copperheads are still jockeying for a playoff spot, so the double-dip is a potential postseason preview.
Fans may purchase tickets at the Pump Jacks office in downtown Kilgore or online at pumpjacksbaseball.com. Tickets will also be available at historic Driller Park beginning at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. Fans only need one ticket to enjoy both games plus the Fisherman’s Paradise promotion.
Since the games were not originally on the home schedule, all season ticket holders are entitled to free tickets for the doubleheader. Season ticket holders can pick up their tickets at Thursday night’s game, at the Jacks office Friday, or at the gate on Saturday.
