The off-season is nearly over!
The East Texas Pump Jacks’ second season will kick off this Friday, June 5, when the Jacks welcome the Texas Collegiate League’s newest team, the Victoria Generals. The game will be followed by a spectacular season-opening fireworks show, the first of five Friday Fireworks the team will host this summer.
Tickets for any of the Pump Jacks’ 24 home games this season will go on sale on Monday, June 1. Like last year, the team offers the convenience of being able to purchase tickets on the web, over the phone, or in person.
Single-game tickets will start at $5 for adults and $4 for children and seniors for general admission tickets in the grandstand. Lower Box Seats, the closest seats to the field and the only seats that include in-your-seat wait service, are $10 per seat. Upper Box seats, located immediately behind the Lower Box seats, are $8 per seat.
Fans who would like to purchase tickets on the web can visit the Pump Jacks’ official web site, www.pumpjacksbaseball.com. A link on the home page will take fans to the team’s online ticketing system. You’ll have the convenience of looking at available tickets and picking your actual seat location. After purchasing your tickets with a credit card, you’ll even be able to print out your tickets on your own home printer!
Fans may also buy tickets at the team’s offices at 1100 Stone Road, Suite 120, in Kilgore, or by calling (903) 218-4638. The main office is open to purchase tickets from Monday through Friday, 9 am to 5 pm when the team is on the road, or on any home game day from 9 am until 3½ hours before game time (usually 3:30 pm). Over the phone, fans may pay with Visa, MasterCard, or American Express, while those who visit the office may also pay with cash or check.
On home game days, the ticket office at historic Driller Park will open one hour prior to the game, which will usually be 6 pm.
Pump Jacks home game times will usually be 7:05 pm, with the gates opening at 6 pm. In the event of a doubleheader, the first game will begin at 5:05 pm, and the teams will play a pair of seven-inning ballgames.
The Pump Jacks will offer groups the opportunity to book private pre-game, all-you-can-eat picnics on the team’s new 1,500 square-foot picnic deck at Driller Park. Groups of 25 or more are also eligible to receive discounts on tickets, with increased discounts based on the size of the group.
For youngsters, the Pump Jacks offer birthday party packages and the Field of Dreams program, which gives one youth team per game the chance to take the field with the Pump Jacks starting lineup.

The Pump Jacks season opens on June 5 with a Fireworks Friday contest against the Generals, who conclude their two-game set against the Jacks on Saturday. The opening homestand closes on Sunday, June 7, when the McKinney Marshals make their first visit to Driller Park this season.
The Brazos Valley Bombers make their first foray to East Texas the following weekend, June 13 and 14. The defending champion Coppell Copperheads come to Driller Park June 18 and 19.
The 48-game season will run through August 8, and it will be followed by the Texas Collegiate League playoffs. The top four teams in the league qualify for the postseason, crowning a champion by August 15. The full season schedule is available for download by clicking here.
