The Jacks will play a doubleheader Thursday featuring the best of both Thirsty Thursday and Western Wednesday!
Apparently, being one of the best summer collegiate baseball teams in the country doesn’t help when the opponent is Mother Nature.
As a result, the East Texas Pump Jacks announced that Wednesday night’s game against the Alexandria Aces at historic Driller Park has been postponed due to continued rain.
The game will be made up on Thursday as part of a doubleheader beginning at 6:05 p.m. Per league rules, both games of the doubleheader will be seven innings.
Fans with tickets for Wednesday’s game may exchange them for tickets of equal or lesser value to any other Pump Jacks home game this season, subject to availability. Tickets may be exchanged at the Jacks’ office at 114 North Kilgore Street in downtown Kilgore, or at the ticket booth at Driller Park prior to any game.
With a doubleheader scheduled for tomorrow, fans will get to enjoy not only two games for the price of one, but two promotions in one night! Western Wednesday will carry over to the doubleheader, giving fans to enjoy the wildly popular new barbecue nachos all night long, and Ziegenbock beer will be available at the beer stand as well.
Since the doubleheader takes place on Thursday, that means fans can also take advantage of Thirsty Thursday throughout the evening. The Jacks will offer 50-cent soft drinks, dollar draft beers, and $3 frozen margaritas throughout the evening.
